Goals

  • Agree on general terminology (Node, Node Container, Message, Service/Action, ...?)
  • Design application layers in ROS: Transport, Marshalling, etc.
    • Discuss on a solution to make the ROS transport layer modular
  • Design common protocol (not transport etc.) which is independent of the programming language (any language-specific details should be handled in this SIG)
