Mobility Base

The Mobility Base is a mobile base for the Rethink Robotics Baxter robot. The Mecanum wheel system enables any combination of translation and rotation. The base can move forward, backward, or sideways while independently controlling its rotation. The base is able to travel on most flat surfaces like carpet, tile, cement and asphalt. The compact footprint (32” by 31”) enables Baxter to travel through office hallways and doorways on a Mobility Base.

The Mobility Base comes with an on-board computer, IMU, and optional laser scanners (including 360° scanners).
