Installation

By checking out from our repositories, you can always stay up to date with the latest development version. Pick one of the following two instructions (depending on your ROS version).

catkin from source (hydro and newer)

Add the repositories to your catkin workspace with wstool, as briefly outlined below. If unclear, you should follow the catkin tutorials first. You will need an initialized catkin workspace.

In there, add the repositories:

wstool set humanoid_msgs --git https://github.com/ahornung/humanoid_msgs
wstool set humanoid_navigation --git https://github.com/ahornung/humanoid_navigation -v hydro-devel
wstool update

Source your ROS setup.bash (e.g. source /opt/ros/hydro/setup.bash) and your workspace setup.bash (e.g. source ~/catkin_ws/devel/setup.bash).

Compile by running in your workspace:

catkin_make

rosinstall / rosbuild from source (fuerte and groovy)

Use the following rosinstall to check out the needed code of humanoid_navigation (with humanoid_msgs):

- git:
    uri: https://github.com/ahornung/humanoid_navigation
    version: devel
    local-name: stacks/humanoid_navigation
- git:
    uri: https://github.com/ahornung/humanoid_msgs
    local-name: stacks/humanoid_msgs

In a local working directory where you want to check out the code, simply put these lines in a file rosinstall.txt and run

rosinstall . /opt/ros/groovy rosinstall.txt

If you are not using ROS groovy, substitute groovy with your ROS distribution.

"source setup.bash" in that directory or manually add this path to your ROS_PACKAGE_PATH so the new stacks get recognized in your ROS environment.

Compile with

rosmake humanoid_navigation
